I did this illustration for an article I wrote for the now defunct web site True/Slant.
The story was a first person account I had with a pink Cadillac XLR on an otherwise deserted stretch of Interstate Highway 88, just east of Dixon, IL.
Bearing a Mary Kay logo, and travelling at a very high rate of speed, she disappeared over what passes for a hill in that part of the country. I decided to pursue, in search of a story. When I crested the rise she was exiting the highway, and, to my surprise, a Illinois State Trooper was idling on the shoulder. How Maybellene had managed to avoid getting pulled over when I got stopped was the essence of the tale.
The officer asked me “What Cadillac?”
